membership/ownership begins with a "share" account. By maintaining a
minimum balance of $25, you can keep your credit union membership
for life and take advantage of all of our services - even if you no
longer work for a sponsor company! Consider us your financial
headquarters and use our services often - we're here to serve you.

You get discounts and free stuff! Tickets or discounts to theme parks across the
U.S., local professional and collegiate athletic games, Malco (Memphis area) movie tickets

Insured Deposits
The National Credit Union Administration, an agency of the U.S. government, insures
each Southern Security member's joint and individual accounts to at least $100,000.

Eligibility Requirements
Southern Security serves over 460 companies in the Mid-South area including Memphis, Bartlett, Collierville and Covington,
Tennessee areas and Grenada, Greenwood, Pontotoc and North Mississippi communities. Eligibility is typically through your
workplace or a family member. To find out if your employer is affiliated with Southern Security, please
contact us and we’ll verify it for you. Or if you have an
immediate family member (grandparent, parent, brother, sister, child or grandchild) who is a member,
you’re automatically eligible.
Family Memberships
Share the benefits of your credit union membershipo with your family members! Did you know you can
offer membership to your immediate family right now? Southern Security defines "immediate family" as
your spouse, children, parents, siblings, grandchildren, grandparents, step-relations, and adopted family.
Simply request a membership packet, or bring in
your family member to any branch where we will provide him/her with one.
We also ask you to sign a verification form stating that the person is eligible to join. If outside the area, we can mail the
membership packet and verification form to you. Then simply return the application and notarized verification form to us. We'll set
up the new membership from there. Please note that you are not financially responsible for those you sponsor; that is, unless you choose
to be a joint owner of the account.
