Debit MasterCard® (Debit & ATM)


What's easier than writing a check? Using your Debit MasterCard®. It looks like a credit card but works like a check. When you use it to make purchases, the funds automatically come from your checking account. You owe nothing at the end of the month (as with a credit card), and you don't have to wait while a clerk calls for a check approval. And what's more, Southern Security's Debit MasterCard® is accepted anywhere you see the MasterCard® sign.  But wait, there's still more! Your Debit MasterCard® also serves as your ATM card so you also have access to the world’s largest ATM network!  Checking account required.

If your check card has been lost or stolen, call Southern Security at (901) 452-7900 (Memphis) or toll free at 1-800-633-4128 (M-F, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm CDT) to cancel your old card and order a new one. After hours call 1-800-528-2273 to cancel your card.

VISA Credit Card


No annual fee. No application fee. Low 12.9% APR. 25-day grace period on new purchases. You can request an application now.  If you've lost or misplaced your statement, you can check on your balance by calling 1-800-805-8046. Payments should be mailed to:

Pay your bill online!
Access your Southern Security Visa credit card account online.  Visit www.eZCardInfo.com to view your recent account information from the privacy of your own computer.

If your VISA card has been lost or stolen, call VISA directly at 1-800-808-7230 (M-F, 7AM to 9PM CST) to cancel the old card and order a replacement card. After hours call 1-800-991-4964 (after hours and on weekends).

Automated Teller Machines


Southern Security offers access to the world’s largest ATM network. With access to more than 634,700 locations worldwide, you're never far from a MasterCard®, Maestro® or Cirrus® ATM. And when you use Southern Security's ATMs you have unlimited FREE withdrawals. Southern Security has reciprocal agreements with many regional networks. If you don't see a network from your local area, try your card anyway. Chances are it will be accepted.  Southern Security charges $1 for each transaction at any ATM other than Southern Security ATM's.

ATM Card


For those who do not have a checking account with Southern Security but still want access to ATMs, this card is for you. It accesses your Share account and may even be accepted as a Point of Purchase card by some merchants.

CU Service Centers


For members who want to see a teller but are not in the Mid-South area, you can visit a CU Service Center. Thousands of credit union locations are available nationwide to assist you. Made up of a network of participating credit unions, you can complete a number of transactions, just as if you were at a Southern Security branch. Pay Your Bills Online

Southern Security is proud offer My CU Bill Pay*. With this secure online bill payment system, you can pay all your bills from your home or office computer. No more checks, stamps or trips to the mailbox!
Here’s how it works. Bill Pay electronically debits your checking account for the amount you specify to the vendor you specify. You can schedule payments to be debited on a specific day, or you can set up recurring payments (same amount, same pay date) saving you the hassle and frustration of keeping up with all of your bills and due dates. Your payment dates can also be set to coincide with your paydays. This helps to ensure that you will have money in your account at the time you pay your bills!

Once you set up your vendor information (utility, phone, cable company, etc.), you can select up to eight to be available for “Express Pay.” Express pay allows you to quickly select who you want to pay, for how much and on what date on one quick and easy page.

Members with a share draft (checking) account can register for My CU Bill Pay. If you do not have a FREE Southern Security checking account, you may request an application online or at any location. Upon signing up for My CU Bill Pay, members will receive a free 90-day trial of My CU Bill Pay. After the 90-day free trial is over, members are automatically enrolled to continue the service at $5.95 per month for unlimited bill payments.

Payroll Deduction/Direct Deposit


Take advantage of this great service. Put money away in your savings or Christmas Club accounts; pay off loans and deposit the rest in your Checking account - all without ever stepping foot in the credit union.

MoneyTalk & CU Online


Around the clock services with access to the latest information on your accounts. Call our MoneyTalk number at (901) 458-SAVE (7283) or if you're outside the Memphis are 1-800-633-4128, extension 67, or try CU Online. Transfer funds, request withdrawals, make loan payments - all when you want it.

MoneyTalk and CU Online require a PIN from Southern Security.  Please contact us and request your PIN today. Please note, your CU online PIN is the SAME as your MoneyTalk PIN. If you change your PIN inside CU Online, your MoneyTalk PIN will change, too.  And vice versa.

Linking Accounts


An added feature is linking multiple accounts together upon request. For example, you and your spouse have a joint account and you have your own, individual account. Southern Security can link the accounts to which you are an owner so that you can see or hear your joint account totals as well as your individual account totals. You can also make transfers between accounts - as from your individual savings into your joint checking account. Note that your joint owner cannot obtain your individual balances. This feature is especially helpful for parents with students. You can link your accounts so that you can transfer funds to your student's account. However, your student cannot wipe out your account (provided he/she is not a joint owner on your account). Account links are contingent upon account ownership. Southern Security can only link accounts for which you are an owner or joint owner. To request your accounts to be linked, please contact Southern Security at MyCU@SouthernSecurity.org. DO NOT email account numbers. If you have CU Online access, you can login and send a secured email there.

Coin Counting


Do you have full piggy banks sitting around gathering dust instead of interest? Bring your coins to Southern Security and let us count them for you.

For a nominal fee (5% of amount collected) we'll count all of your coins. No need to wrap them, either. Our coin counters will do all of the work for you.

Be sure to go through your coins and remove any debris from the collection. Since items other than U.S. coins cause damage to our machines, we reserve the right to refuse to count any questionable collection.
